Pumpkin spice latte at-home recipe
This is the OG fall drink of pumpkin coffee lovers. You can’t go wrong with a latte bursting with pumpkin spice flavor.
User @cookingwithlynja whipped up her own version, which has been liked more than 124,000 times on TikTok.
Combine pumpkin puree, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a saucepan and simmer for 10 minutes “so the flavors meld together,” she explains. Then add the mixture to a blender and blend until the sauce is smooth. Next, make an espresso and mix with your homemade pumpkin sauce and warm milk. Top with whipped cream and cinnamon to finish.
User @eitan broke things down with more exact measurements. For his pumpkin coffee mix, he combines in a saucepan over medium heat:
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin spice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup coffee
Add to a glass and top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin spice.

For the cold foam, use:
- 2 tablespoons whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons half & half
- 2 tablespoons pumpkin sauce, which she makes by combining 2 ounces of condensed milk, 2 ounces of pumpkin puree, 2 teaspoons vanilla extracts, 2 tablespoons milk and 2 teaspoons pumpkin spice
Then froth until thick. Add maple syrup, ice and cold brew to a glass then top with the cold foam mixture and enjoy!
Apple macchiato recipe
Fall may also remind you of an apple pie-inspired drink.
User @softpourn says he isn’t a huge fan of the Starbuck’s Apple Crisp Macchiato. In his video, which has garnered more than 288,000 likes, he tried to make it even better with his homemade flair.
For the syrup, he combines:
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- Peel of 1 granny smith apple
Bring the mixture to a boil then drop heat to medium and reduce the liquid by half. To a 12 ounce glass, add a half ounce of syrup and fill up the glass halfway with milk. Then add ice and espresso. For a topping, he adds caramel and a dusting of cinnamon and sugar.
Don’t have fresh apples? That’s OK! User @bitsbiteblog makes a version that uses apple juice instead.
For the syrup you’ll need:
- 1/2 cup apple juice from concentrate
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
First dissolve the sugar into the apple juice in a saucepan. Then add in your spices. Bring everything to a simmer and it will thicken in 10-15 minutes. Combine with your coffee, ice and milk of choice and voila!
“It honestly tastes just like it but fresh,” she says after taking a sip.
